Nana's Apple Cinnamon Squares

Louise Seddon

Just like Nana used to make...

These little apple crumble cakes are a nostalgic recipe I used to make with my nan when I was a child. The aroma of cinnamon and baked apples would fill her cosy kitchen as we carefully prepared the crumble topping together. These individual-sized treats have a warm apple topped with a generous crumble that gets beautifully crisp and golden in the oven. Serve them warm with rich custard or velvety butterscotch sauce for the ultimate comforting dessert. Alternatively, you can chill them and chop into portable finger-food portions for picnics or lunchboxes. No matter how you enjoy them, these little apple crumble cakes are the perfect sweet treat loaded with homely flavours and special memories.

Please note - all measurements are in their original pounds and ounces, so please make sure you change your scales!

  • 3 ½ oz Brown Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
